ABOUT ACCELERATOR 6
With a deliberate focus on progressive Texas leaders and projects, the 25-week program identifies, tests, innovates, and builds sustainable progressive infrastructure by supporting organizers, founders, startup nonprofit organizations, and existing grassroots organizing and social justice advocacy groups in under-resourced communities.
$50,000 in unrestricted funds disbursed in two installments of $25,000 before the first day of the program and $25,000 in month three;
Support in raising an additional $50,000+ together through Texas and national donor networks;
3 multi-day retreats in scenic Texas areas to work closely with BRIDGE staff and coaches, and to build deep connections with fellow Accelerator participants;
10 workshop virtual and in-person days across major Texas cities, providing a space to evaluate progress, learn new skills, and meet local progressive leaders and donors;
Biweekly leadership mentoring and programs coaching with BRIDGE staff and coaching team;
Holistic advising that includes strategic planning, program design, board recruitment, and financial planning support;
Back-office capacity and systems development (e.g. operations, finance, human resources, etc.), including access to no-cost monthly financial management from BRIDGE’s Certified Public Accountant; and,
A tailored curriculum designed to strengthen leaders’ skills, expand their knowledge, and foster deep relationships within the Texas progressive movement.
